Guide
Living in Lotus
Lotus is where GL Homes went fully contemporary in western Boca Raton. Clean lines, flat planes and a lot of glass, across a gated community of about 800 single-family homes on Lyons Road, built around a modern clubhouse and racquet center.
A note on the name: GL has since built Lotus Palm and Lotus Edge nearby. They are separate communities with their own associations, clubhouses and dues. This guide covers the original Lotus, north of Clint Moore Road. If someone says "Lotus," ask which one they mean.
Who this guide is for
- Buyers who want contemporary architecture rather than Mediterranean or transitional
- Relocators comparing the Lyons Road GL communities side by side
- Anasa Collection clients who care how a house lives, not only how it lists
No invented comps. No volume brags. Just orientation — then a concierge, then a person.
Location & access
Lotus sits on the east side of Lyons Road, just north of Clint Moore Road, in West Boca Raton. It is part of the run of GL Homes communities along this corridor, with Boca Bridges, The Bridges and Seven Bridges all a short distance north and west.
Lyons Road is the main north–south route. The Florida Turnpike runs just to the east, Clint Moore Road and Glades Road lead toward I-95 and East Boca, and Atlantic Avenue to the north leads toward Delray Marketplace and downtown Delray. Like everything on this corridor, Lotus trades nearness to the water for newer construction and amenities inside the gate. Test the drive east at the hours you would actually make it.
Builder, era & homes
GL Homes opened sales at Lotus in January 2019, and the first residents moved in later that year. Building continued into the early 2020s, and the community is now sold out, so homes trade as resales.
The homeowners association describes Lotus as 804 luxury single-family homes. At launch, GL's plans ranged from just under 2,000 to about 5,200 square feet, in one- and two-story designs, with the largest models offering five bedrooms and four-car garages. That makes Lotus a broader price range than its neighbors. Most of it sits below the Anasa Collection band, and the larger homes and best lots reach into it. Lake frontage and lot position make a real difference here.
Gate, clubhouse & courts
Lotus is gated, and the association manages gate access for residents and guests. The association describes a clubhouse of more than 26,000 square feet on a site of more than eight acres, with:
Clubhouse. The Luna Bistro café with poolside seating, a full-service pool bar on a covered patio, a lounge with a bar and catering kitchen, an indoor sports court, a fitness center, game and card rooms, a multipurpose room, and locker rooms with showers.
Pools. A resort-style pool with shaded seating, a lap pool, a whirlpool spa, an interactive wet play area and poolside cabana baths.
Racquets & outdoor. Seven lighted clay tennis courts and one lighted hard court, six pickleball courts with shade pavilions, a pro shop, a full outdoor basketball court, a party pavilion and a shaded playground.
There is no golf course inside the gates.
How ownership works
Lotus runs on a homeowners association model, with no equity club membership to buy. Dues are billed quarterly. Every purchase needs an application and the association's approval, and the association collects a capital contribution at closing equal to two quarterly assessments. Get the current dues, what they cover, and any special assessments straight from the association before you make an offer. Figures in old listings go stale.
Frequently asked
Is Lotus the same as Lotus Palm or Lotus Edge? No. All three are GL Homes contemporary communities in West Boca, but each has its own association, amenities and dues. This guide covers the original Lotus on Lyons Road, north of Clint Moore.
What architectural style is Lotus? Contemporary throughout: clean lines, flat rooflines and large glass openings, rather than the Mediterranean and transitional looks common in older Boca communities.
What is in the clubhouse? The association lists a café, pool bar, lounge, indoor sports court, fitness center, game and card rooms, pools and a spa, along with seven clay tennis courts, one hard court and six pickleball courts.
Are there costs at closing beyond the price? The association collects a capital contribution equal to two quarterly assessments from the buyer at closing, and requires purchase approval. Your closing statement will show the exact figures.

How Hobson helps
Hobson is the AI concierge for The Anasa Collection. Tell him what the right home feels like: modern or warmer, one story or two, lake view, the light you want in the kitchen, your budget band. He helps you sort Lotus from its namesakes and its neighbors before you burn weekends on the wrong tours.
Soft next step
Contemporary is a commitment, and it should feel right on a Tuesday, not only at an open house. Let Hobson sharpen the brief. Let Paul handle the doors.
